Wasn't Lag B'Omer last week?
Registriation for the 2012-13 school year begins June 4.
On Wednesday, May 4, 2011, students in the Gimel class will mark the celebration of their Hebrew book by presenting themselves to the congregation in a ceremony we call Siyum Hasefer. This is a very exciting moment for the students and for you. You are welcome to invite anyone you like including grandparents, or any other people you would like.
Services will begin at 5:30. During services you will be called on to stand and read a parent’s prayer, the text of which is as follows.
As Jewish mothers and fathers have done in every age, we have brought you our children, to God’s house to study his Torah, to learn his ways, to follow the path of his mitzvot. We pray that you will grow in mind and spirit as you begin this Jewish adventure using Hebrew, the holy language of our people.
Parents wanting paper invitations to send to family should contact Cindy in the office.
