Wasn't Lag B'Omer last week?
Registriation for the 2012-13 school year begins June 4.
Last week at Sunday school we talked about Tikkun Olam. We talked about from where the idea of Tikkun Olam comes from. Tikkun Olam comes from the phrase in Alenu, "L'takken Olam B'malchut Shaddai." As Jews we many times only remember the first part of the phrase L'takken Olam and forget the second part B'malchut Shaddai, which means under G-d's sovereignty. We talked about how the ultimate Tikkun Olam, is to Tikkun yourself. To fix the flaws within each of us. Before we can go out and fix the world, or our city, or neighborhood, or even our house,
we need to fix ourselves from within.
I encourage all of the 7th graders in the class to go to the 6th/7th grade shabbaton next Shabbat at Bnai Amoona. Unfortunately, I won't be able to be there due to logistical issues and midterm exams early next week.

Have a great week,
