Wasn't Lag B'Omer last week?
Registriation for the 2012-13 school year begins June 4.
On Sunday we began discussing Chanukah. We had a program for grades 3-5 together which included games and food. We went to the art room and made dreidels from clay (we will paint them on December 18th) and in class we read about the "true" story of Chanukah.
During the week we started learning some modern Hebrew. Everyone got to speak in sentences and did a great job. We also moved on in our study of the Amidah section of the service. We learned the Kedushat Hayom, the blessing included in the Amidah just for Shabbat which speaks to the holiness of that day. Each student was assigned two lines of the prayer to practice and master for this coming Monday, December 12th. This prayer is not in their folder so I sent home a separate sheet for them to use. If your student doesn't have the sheet (and a few of them left it behind!)

As always, be in touch if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you at the Shabbat Initiative program this Saturday.
