Wasn't Lag B'Omer last week?
Registriation for the 2012-13 school year begins June 4.
In Sunday School today we participated in a "Hanukkah Around the World" activity with other grades. The students ran a torch (ours were construction paper) relay race to learn about the torch relay that happens in Israel every year at Hanukkah. We ate latkes and a type of donut that is popular in Egypt. In class we learned about the Tower of Babel, the different cultures and languages of the Israeli people, and Hanukkah. We read a Hanukkah story and then talked about the Hanukkah story.
Two of our classroom art projects are now up in the halls at BSKI - the Israeli flags students designed a few weeks ago and the Noah's Ark display we made during out last class. I encourage you to come inside and look at the art projects next time you are at BSKI.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions!
Sincerely,
Morah Sarah
