Wasn't Lag B'Omer last week?
Registriation for the 2012-13 school year begins June 4.
I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Linda Kram. I teach Tanach(Bible) and Hebrew at Shaare Shalom to third and fourth graders. In addition, I also teach Hebrew for Kulanu(a special
needs program). I teach science and Judaics at Shaare Zedek ECC. Finally, I am the environmental specialist for Shaare Zedek's new Dorways program for families with early elementary children.
Educational Background
I have a BA in English and a BS in elementary education with certifications in early childhood and middle school english and social studies. I am currently taking advanced biblical Hebrew and Tanach classes through CAJL. I'm a graduate of the Melton program for adult Jewish learners. I have earned a Level 1 Jewish Environmental Educator certificate from TEVA and I have passed my Level 4 master teacher certification from St. Louis CAJE.
Personal Background
I grew up in Olivette but currently live with my husband, dog and two cats in University City. My son, Daniel, is a writer and web designer in Los Angeles. My daughter, Karin, just finished her PHD in microbiology at Columbia University in New York.
This year is my first year at Shaare Shalom. We will be exploring Bible, Jewish values, and Hebrew through games, dramatics, art, music, cooking, and science. I am looking forward to a year of fun and challenge at Shaare Shalom.
