Wasn't Lag B'Omer last week?
Registriation for the 2012-13 school year begins June 4.
We had a fantastic day! This was the first Sunday that all 12 children of the Aleph/Bet class were present! As a school we participated in Havdalah and celebrated October birthdays. We welcomed in a new day by singing Modeh Ani and counting (in Hebrew) all our chaverim (friends). Morah Tessa read the book In God’s Name (by Sandy Eisenberg Sasso) outside under the sukkah. We talked about global change and making a positive difference in our community. We asked the following questions: “What kinds of things change?” and “How do we know they’re changing?” We also participated in making an environmental wish on the religious school’s wish tree. The children wrote down a wish on a recycled plastic bag and then tied it on the tree. Lastly, we looked for leaves outside and talked about taking care of our environment.
Next Week’s Theme - In the Beginning – The Six days of Creation
B’ Shalom,
Morah Tessa
