It was an action packed Sunday! We participated in Havdalah and celebrated November Birthdays (Happy Birthday to our friend Toby!) with Rabbi Miller and Morah Anita. We welcomed in a new day by singing Modeh Ani and counting (in Hebrew) all our chaverim (friends). In cooking class we made rugelach cookies with Morah Eli. The children had fun rolling out the dough and adding toppings (chocolate chips, strawberry jam or cinnamon sugar) to their cookies. We enjoyed learning a new Hebrew song (about geshem) with Efrat and Yaara. Morah Tessa read a book about Tzedaakah and then we discussed what we should do with our classroom Tzedakah at the end of the school year. We narrowed it down between adopting an animal at the Saint Louis Zoo and Missouri Nature Conservation centers. We took a vote and the St. Louis Zoo won by three votes. We also started painting our individual Tzedakah boxes.

Activities at Home
- As a family make time to go through items (clothes, canned food etc.) in your house that you can live without and donate to a local shelter or charity.
Get to know your neighbors. Bake an item (cookies or bread) with your child and walk it over to one of your neighbors.
B' Shalom,
Morah Tessa
