We participated in Havdalah with Hazzan Joanna, Morah Emma and Morah Anita and all our religious school friends. Morah Tessa read Sammy Spider's First Tu B' Shevat by Sylvia A. Rouss in the sanctuary. After listening to the book we walked back to the classroom where we continued to discuss Tu B' Shevat. The children took turns sharing with the class what trees do for us and how we should take care of them. We also enjoyed participating in a Tu B' Shevat Seder! We mixed and drank grapejuice (white & purple) a total of 4 times to symbolize the four seasons and we ate a variety of fruits. Lastly, the children did an incredible job coloring their Tu B' Shevat trees and writing down (on the leaves) what trees can do forus and mother earth.
